Senator Babet: I Want to Be a Better Aussie Like You — Help Me Out
A 150-year-old synagogue was just firebombed — and a senator, an immigrant who only recently got off the boat from Mauritius, thinks they're not “Australian” enough for him.
Dear
, I Want to Be a Better Aussie Like You — Help Me OutI'm willing to accept your terms (as per your message in the screenshot) and become a Christian. For context: you wrote that message in response to a 150-year-old synagogue being firebombed — and implied they weren't “Australian” enough for you.
But before I do that, I was hoping you could help answer and clarify a few things for me:
1. Why aren't you married with children? After all, you claim to be a conservative and a Christian (Roman Catholic). In Genesis 1:28, God tells man to be Fruitful and Multiply.
Why do you spend your time posting poolside selfies of yourself smoking Cuban cigars, and not images of you attending Sunday Catholic Mass with your wife and children? How often do you even go to church? How often do you pray?
You idolise and express admiration for Andrew Tate — a man who promotes debauchery and fornication.
What is it that you want me to convert to, exactly?
And how do I become a better Australian like you?
I pray five times a day, every day, and have a young family. Should I leave that all behind for a life filled with pool-time/gym selfies and Cuban cigars?
Are you promoting a conservative lifestyle, or a hedonistic lifestyle? Or are you just on the fence?
You call yourself a "Christian nationalist" — what does that even mean? Please define it.
If you can define it, then I’ll also encourage the congregation of East Melbourne Synagogue — the same synagogue that was firebombed — to convert to your faith. Even though they’re 150 years old, apparently they're still not “Australian” enough for an immigrant who only just got off the boat from Mauritius.
But hopefully their conversion will change things for the better.
2. Your cathedral — the biggest Catholic cathedral in Melbourne — was besieged by thousands of Muslim extremists. Where were you? Sitting on your couch? Are you willing to put your life on the line for your beliefs? I know I am.
There are over one billion Catholics in the world, and millions in Australia. Where were they all when their biggest cathedral was surrounded?
If a synagogue in Australia were besieged like that, my community (although tiny in number) and I would drop everything in a split second to go and protect it. We would put our lives on the line.
Again, what is it exactly that you're trying to get me to convert to?
Or are you and people like
and the rest of the "Australia First" crowd all bark and no bite?
Not sure where this is going, but good discussion points. Love those pictures; is that not what life is all about, the fun aspect having work hard? It is not a crime to enjoy living, which is filled with beauty and LIFE. Certainly no fun in death, UNLESS we have fulfilled what GOD has created us to represent, the goodness of GOD in all the beauty we see and take for granted around us. Marriage is wonderful, although it has its highs and lows as in a life's journey, with its many challenges which are meant to mature us, hopefully. In the Catholic faith, divorce is forbidden, and that makes it tough if one will not take the challenges, to change one's attitudes, for example towards the other. Really, it is not the religion/faith that makes one's life easy and peaceful, it is the character trait changes to be respectful, kind, non violent, disciplined and truthfulness towards one another as in a free society, with freedom of choice. It is strife and envy that makes life complex.
